External Waterproofing of a retaining wall
We were asked by a main contractor to carry out the waterproofing to the external side of a retaining wall using Deltas Deuxan and NP Drain.
Work
The system used for this project was Delta membrane systems Koster Deuxan 2C and Delta NP Drain. This is to act as a Type A membrane applied to the external side of the structure prior to backfill.
The NP drain has a filter fabric glued to the face of the studs enabling a clean void to prevent the build of hydrostatic pressure. This drains to a perforated land drain which sits at the base of the wall.
This will inhibit lateral ingress into the internal environment.
Project Requirements
This element of the project required a quick turn around to allow for the installation of block work.
We were able to mobilize quickly and get a team to site to get the job completed and keep the job on program.
